2024 SMBHOU Gift of Guidance – Help a Houston Nonprofit

Make a difference this holiday season and learn something new at the same time!
On December 13th, the Houston Social Media Breakfast will meet with 10 local nonprofits to help them with a strategy to use social media for their charity. Eligible nonprofits receive pro bono advice from SMBHOU members with the goal of collaboratively developing an actionable, micro social media plan. Together, nonprofits will learn how to hone their social media approaches, tools, and technique while this working session allows SMBHOU members to give back to the community by sharing a special gift that only they can give – their expertise.
If you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference this year, come to the event and help us help others! No special skills are required to volunteer— you only need a willingness to learn and share. As a bonus, you receive access to a social media strategy method you can use for your own 2025 social media planning! It’s a win-win!

We’re still looking for more volunteers to be table leaders (need some social media strategy experience) and scribes/notetakers (no experience needed). To learn more and apply, click here. 📍 Location: Impact HUB, 806 Rusk St, Houston, TX 77002
🚗 Parking: Free at the Esperson Garage (806 Rusk St). Follow contractor parking signs in the garage, and take the elevator to the first floor. Parking will be validated via a code we send with your registration on Eventbrite. If you park on the second or third floor, the parking attendant may request that you leave your primary or valet key with your vehicle.
🥐 Breakfast: Enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast and coffee.
